Curriculum Highlights

MBU’s EdD blends leadership development, learning science, instructional design, and applied research across 54 credit hours. Course topics include:

Coursework emphasizes performance-based assessments—from strategic action plans and coaching frameworks to AI-enhanced learning design proposals—all grounded in the challenges you face at work.

Your program also includes research coursework in both quantitative and qualitative methods, preparing you for a dissertation or applied capstone that puts your leadership and design expertise into practice.

Program features include:

  • Online and asynchronous with instructor interaction.
  • Seven-week courses that allow you to take one course at a time if needed.
  • Affordable tuition: $15,795 – $22,230 for licensure programs and $15,300 for non-licensure programs.
  • Six start dates per year — two each in Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
  • Instructors with K-12 experiences in their content area.
  • Most students complete the program in two years.
