Each degree program leads to specific skills for the following healthcare occupations:
Occupational Therapists
Occupational therapists (OTs) help people participate more fully in activities at home, at school, in the community, and in the workplace. OTs may help clients adapt daily work and self-care tasks to their abilities, such as offering advising and support for environmental or technological adaptations that make independent life possible.
Physician Assistants
Physician assistants (also known as physician associates in some states, or PAs), examine, diagnose, and treat patients under the supervision of a physician. Depending on the state where they practice, PAs may provide primary care or work in another medical specialty.
Physical Therapists
Physical therapists (PTs) help people impacted by injury, illness, or chronic conditions improve their strength and mobility through exercise, massage, and other activities. PTs can also help people learn to use crutches, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and other support devices safely.
